To be quick, the name's Paola Adara, if you still haven't picked up on that yet. Anyway, there's nothing here on my profile except the rules on requesting a fic for the collection "Fiddling While Rome Burns." It's an Ouran High School Host Club fanfiction that encompasses a number of genres and pairings, but it's not an everything-goes request-a-fic thing. Here are the rules (because I do have my limits and I can't possibly fulfil every kind of request):

HOW TO REQUEST A FIC...yada, yada, yada...

Fiddling While Rome Burns will be a collection of short stories and/or ficlets based on different themes. It will work like this: it’s going to be like a commission sort of thing without payment (of course, it’s free!). If you want a certain theme, you can send me a PM OR include it in your review (assuming you reviewed/will review), and I’ll work on that.

Here’s how things figure:

1. PM me or e-mail me or include in your review a theme you want to read or you want me to work on

2. The theme can be a simple word like “chocolate” or an obscure concept like “disinterested contemplation” or broad notions like “love, hate, etc.” And, aside from that, you may request a certain phrase you want me to include in the story

3. You may tell me the main character/characters you want me to use (though I may have to draw the line here. Please request only for main characters, so that’s the seven host club members, plus a few considerations like Tamaki and dad/grandmother, Kyouya and dad/sister/brothers, and Haruhi and dad, for reasons that I will disclose if ever I come across requests for character interactions beyond what I have said)

- Requests with characters that I have not specified will -- if granted at all -- have those characters appearing only in cameos. I am reading the manga, but the minor characters make no real impact that it's hard for me to write them. Please understand.

4. You may choose the genre/genres of the story, but Fiddling While Rome Burns will only cover humour, general, romance, angst, drama, parody, fantasy, tragedy, introspective, hurt/comfort, family, friendship, and mystery (so long as mystery is partnered with humour/parody). I'm afraid I'm not talented enough to cover the other genres

5. I will write up to the T-rating only because I will rate Fiddling While Rome Burns T and it might violate something if I write M (so sexual acts, in case you request for it, will be tastefully written to avoid going over the T-rating)

6. Yes, I will accept requests for yaoi

7. Yes, I will accept requests for twincest

8. No, I will not write stories involving romantic relationships between Honey and Mori, Honey and Haruhi, Mori and Haruhi, Honey/Mori and other host club members because I don’t think there’s anything remotely there aside from what they show in the anime

9. I will cite your name/user name when I use your request (I’m disclaiming themes)

10. If you only request for a theme, I will interpret it as allowing me to choose the genre and the characters. Prompts will either be taken as theme requests or phrases to include in the story

11. I will try me best (wow, how cliché!) to make it as interesting as possible, but I will still accept flames or any other type of criticism (I will not disparage flamers, rest assured)

12. I'll do requests in the order they come in, so if you don't see your request right away, it only means that someone else's came before yours

13. Those who have requested a fic already CAN still request for another. It's not a one time thing

Oh yeah, in case you’re wondering, Fiddling While Rome Burns means “to occupy oneself with unimportant matters and neglect priorities during a crisis,” (http://www.phrases.org.uk) so it doesn’t necessarily speak of the stories in it as much as it talks of how I’m writing something different than what I’m supposed to be working on (Sojourn and Play of the Fates over on FFN).
